GREENWOOD, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
A judge has ruled there is enough evidence for a grand jury to consider whether to indict a Greenwood doctor for allegedly conspiring with two men to kill his ex-wife's divorce lawyer.
He also ordered Dr. Ralph Arnold Smith Jr. to remain in jail without bond.
A police detective also testified that a video showed Smith, and an alleged hit man, discussing the murder plot.
The 70-year-old doctor is charged with conspiring to kill attorney Lee Abraham. Authorities say the plot led to a shootout on April 28 in Abraham's office in Greenwood.
Abraham was not hurt.
