HAZLEHURST, Miss. (AP) - The sheriff of Copiah County says he will exhaust all avenues in the search for a 64-year-old woman, who has been missing since April 30 and who the sheriff believes is alive.
Sheriff Harold Jones met for four hours Wednesday with the FBI and family members and the employer of Linda Reed.
Afterward, Jones said he believes Reed is still alive but would not elaborate. He says the ongoing search for Reed is still a missing person's case.
Reed was discovered missing the morning of April 30 when she did not show up for work. Her SUV was found later that day on a logging road not far from the south Crystal Springs exit on Interstate 55, with all her personal effects still accounted for.
