Stokes planning to fight gang activity in Hinds Co.

HINDS COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Tonight at 6pm, hinds county District 5 supervisor Keneth Stokes will hold a news conference discussing the anticipated increase in youth gang activity over the summer. He's pinpointing the basketball courts at the Mary C. Jones Child Development Center as a place where children get initiated into gangs.

Stokes encourages parents to attend the conference, which will include advice from experts on keeping children out of gangs. The conference will be held at Cornerstone M.B. Church, 418 Martin Luther King Drive.
