Heat Expected All Weekend Long...

Posted: Updated:

There's a touch of rain that made a quick appearance during the morning hours in northern Mississippi, but not a real threat for the entire state. Expect highs to soar well above the norm for this time of the year, but no 'record' highs are anticipated. Scattered clouds with a high of 90 degrees and winds from the east at 5-10 mph.

Tonight we should clear totally out, and the drop in moisture in the atmosphere will make it feel cooler. The winds will move from the southeast at 5 mph. And there may be a few patches of late night fog along the eastern side of the state.

Tomorrow kicks off a sunny and dry weekend, beginning with temps in the 60s for the morning hours. Temps will rise to the upper 80s all weekend long, with few clouds in place.
