JPD investigates possible hit and run

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson Police are investigating what appears to be a hit and run crash that left two people injured.

It happened about 4:30 Friday afternoon at the intersection of McDowell Road and Coronet Place, in south Jackson.

Officers responded to a reports of a hit and run, with a pedestrian. An older model red Monte Carlo appeared to have rear end damage.

Police have not confirmed anyone was hit, but WLBT did witness two people being taken away in an ambulance.

Their conditions are unknown. The incident remains under investigation.
