Shooting injuries at motorcycle club event

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Several people were injured Saturday night in a hail of gunfire in the Capital City.

We have very few details about the shooting in the 600 block of Woodrow Wilson Avenue.

Jackson police and AMR Ambulance responded to the scene.

Witnesses said shots were fired around six o'clock at the Central City Complex.

Shell casings were found in the front and side parking lots of the building.

A bullet appeared to have shattered the window of an SUV parked in the front of the facility.

We were told that an altercation occurred during a motorcycle club event.

Overturned bikes could be seen in the fenced in area of the facility.

More than 20 shell casings were also marked by investigators in the area.

Jackson police confirmed that at least two people were injured.

We do not know their names or conditions at this time.

No word on a motive or arrests.
