Jackson police say a teenager was killed Wednesday morning when he got into an accident in a stolen truck.
Nineteen-year-old Joshua Deshun Russell has been identified as the driver of the stolen Ford F-150, according to JPD.
The accident happened in the 300 block of Valley Street in Jackson around 10 a.m.
Police say a suspect jumped into a truck at 904 Morningside Drive when its owner left the vehicle running at a work site while talking to a co-worker.
The owner of the truck and a friend got into another vehicle and followed the suspect.
They spotted the stolen truck at State and Fortification streets and followed it until the vehicle ran a stop sign at Valley and St. Charles streets.
The driver lost control and the stolen vehicle hit two trees, went airborne and hit another tree.
