Early morning fog near the Pike county area shouldn't be an all day concern; but burn off by mid morning at the latest. Aside from the aforementioned, we should enjoy no 'bumps' in our forecast road to more sunshine and heat. Expect highs near 90 degrees and winds south at 10-15 mph.
Tonight the skies will stay clear, allowing the temps to drop dramatically. We'll go down by nearly 30 degrees once again, but still only end up in the mid to lower 60s. A touch of fog may kick in during the overnight hours in the south and southeast corner of the state.
Tomorrow will begin a warming trend that will go from sort of hot to 'whoa' what happened hot. Friday temps will be in the lower 90s. But Saturday we'll reach the mid 90s; meaning the heat index may climb to near 100. You have been notified that the holiday weekend will be a muggy one...!!!
