Bond set for woman charged in arson

LEE COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Authorities say one woman is to blame for a wreck, fires and break-ins, all on the outskirts of Tupelo.

Joley Wheeler, 42, made an initial appearance in Lee County Justice Court Thursday morning.

Bond was set at $260,000.

Wheeler faces a variety of charges including DUI and arson of a residence.

Authorities believe she wrecked her vehicle which caught fire.

Wheeler is then accused setting fire to a couple's vehicle in their driveway which spread to their home.

It wasn't until Wheeler broke into another car on the same road that police caught up with her.
