JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Good Samaritan was killed and her twin sister injured while trying to help a broken down motorist in Jackson Friday morning.

The accident happened around 9 a.m. on Highway 80 near Wiggins Road. Police say three people were pushing a Dodge Avenger out of the eastbound lanes when a Shelter Insurance Ford Escape smashed them from behind.

According to the Hinds County Coroner's office 30-year-old Kyeuna Vance was killed and her twin sister was injured. The sister's condition is not known, but she was taken to the hospital.

The third pedestrian was reportedly so shaken he wandered from the scene, and police are looking for him.

The driver of the Ford was also taken to the hospital.

Police said the driver of the Ford Escape was "distracted" when he hit the broken down vehicle. Authorities did not reveal the nature of the distraction but said there could be criminal charges.
