JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Sources close to the investigation tell WLBT that Linda Gale Reed, the woman who went missing in Copiah County last month, has been found alive in Mexico.

You may remember the 65-year-old Reed was last heard from April 29th. Her car was found in the woods the very next day near Gallman.

When asked if Reed had been arrested in Acapulco, Mexico with a large amount of cash, an FBI spokesperson told WLBT no comment.

The Copiah County Sheriff's Department and Reed's family have no information on her whereabouts.

Reed lived in Carrollton with her husband and worked in Gallman during the week.

Sunday afternoon a Carroll County Sheriff's dispatcher had no information on whether Reed had been found.

There have been questions about bookkeeping practices at Moore's Fabrications where Reed has worked as the bookkeeper for 13 years.

A massive search for Reed was conducted in the days and weeks after she went missing. Texas Equu-Search came to Copiah County and put several parties on the ground, on horseback, and ATV's to search for Reed.

A $10,000 reward was offered for information about her disappearance.

We will continue to follow this story as more details become available.
