The Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning about a counterfeit version of adderall that is available online.
FDA lab tests show the counterfeit adderall contains the wrong active ingredient. It most likely uses agents to treat acute pain -- like acetaminophen.
Experts say fake adderall pills likely come in a blister package, have misspellings on the label, are white in color, and don't have markings.
Authentic adderall pills are orange or peach in color, have the letters "d-P" on one side and the number "30" on the other -- and are always packaged in a 100-count bottle.
