Recovering sunshine will fill the billing for our weather show for today, featuring temps 'below' the norm for this time of the year. Expect highs near 79 degrees statewide with no threat of rain for the entire weekend. We'll start off cloudy, but clear during the mid morning hours, and the winds will be from the NW at 10-15mph.
Tonight we'll stay clear with winds dying down quickly after the sun goes down. High pressure located in the mid-Mississippi valley region will aid in clearing the skies and bringing in cooler and drier air overnight. Temps will drop to a comfy and cool 55 degrees or slightly below - quite a treat considering the sweltering conditions we've dealt with recently.
Tomorrow temps will rise slightly above the norm for this time of the year, kicking off a warming trend for the entire weekend. Expect highs to reach into the mid 80s and winds shift from the south at 10-15 mph. And by Sunday temps will be in the 90s with heat index in the upper 90s.
