Code enforcement looking at Camelot Apartments

Posted: Updated:

Residents say there's still a long list of repairs that need attention at the Camelot Apartments on Robinson Road in Jackson. The City of Jackson's Community Improvement Division, which handles code enforcement, confirms that there are several active cases on individual units at the complex.

3 On Your Side first reported on the complex last week, and we revisited Friday. During that visit, we saw that the posts on the stair railings are still loose, and nails still hang out of the steps. There are still missing railings on the stairs and the breezeway on building 13.  It appears that exterior lightbulbs still have not been replaced.

Resident Clyde McAfee tells us his air conditioning unit, which was leaking and frosting up last week, has been fixed. However, McAfee says his shower head is still broken. He can only take baths, and he still has no plug for the bathtub.

A manager on scene Friday told us that she would have maintenance take a look at the problems.

3 On Your Side will follow up with city code enforcement.
