Hundreds compete in Heatwave Classic Triathlon

RIDGELAND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Hundreds of athletes from Mississippi and surrounding states competed Saturday morning in the Heatwave Classic Triathlon.

The race consisted of a half-mile swim, a bike ride and a 10K run.

WLBT's Brandon Artiles was one of the competitors.

The triathlon took place in the Ross Barnett Reservoir and on the Natchez Trace in Ridgeland.
