Fiery accident on I-20

BOLTON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Authorities were on the scene of a fiery accident Sunday morning on I-20 west bound, near Bolton.

Skid marks could be seen leaving I-20, crossing the median. The crash happened sometime before 8 a.m. The vehicle landed upside down in a ditch and caught fire.

It also appears the car may have crashed through a fence as well.

Bolton Fire, Hinds County Deputies and the Mississippi Highway Patrol were on scene.

A medical helicopter landed near by to treat at least one victim.

No word on their condition.

    One person has died in a crash near Harrisonville, MO, Thursday evening. The crash happened on Missouri Highway 7 and Walker Road. It involved a car and a tractor-trailer. Harrisonville is in Cass County.
    Savannah Nash celebrated her 16th birthday last week. She died Thursday when her car slammed into a semi while she was texting during her first time driving by herself.
