CALHOUN, La. (AP) - Louisiana State Police have arrested a 24-year-old Mississippi woman accused of stealing a vehicle from the Grambling bus station and evading authorities.
The News-Star reports (http://tnsne.ws/MEO1nx ) Brandee Haney of Leland, Miss., was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center Tuesday on charges of possession and theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated flight, two counts of resisting arrest, three counts of battery on an officer and driving under suspension.
Grambling police spotted the car on Interstate 20. Troopers and Lincoln Parish deputies began pursuing the vehicle.
Troopers said a spike strip was deployed near Calhoun, where the driver drove the vehicle into the median, got out and starting running.
Police say the woman could not be stopped with a stun gun, and had to be tackled.
