JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Brookhaven Academy senior Christian "Bubba" Keene and Northwest Rankin senior Daniel Sweet were drafted in day three of the MLB Draft on Wednesday.
The Miami Marlins snagged Keene with the 527th pick in the 17th round.
Keene is a right handed outfielder. He is a Co-Lin signee.
The Cincinnati Reds selected Sweet in the 23rd round with the 712th pick.
Sweet is a switch-hitting outfielder. He had a .392 batting average with 18 stolen bases his senior season with the Cougars.
Sweet is a Youngstown State signee.
