The presence of a very strong and influential high pressure system in the 'upper' Mississippi Valley region is having a profound effect on our weather pattern. The UV index is now up to EXTREME level of '11' - meaning we must seek refuge from overexposure to the sun's rays. Expect a high of 90 degrees with winds from the NE 5-10 mph.
Tonight the clear skies will begin to change ever so slightly during the late night hours. A few late clouds will begin to develop after the late night hours. Expect a low of 66 degrees, winds E 5-10 with a build up of moisture continuing throughout the overnight period.
Tomorrow we'll return to a high of 90 degrees, but with more clouds in place. That means we'll have a heat index climbing into the lower 90s, and a chance of rain developing on Saturday and Sunday.
