JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Gallatin Street in Jackson is open after a drainage line was repaired.

1st Source Servall, the former Appliance Parts Company, says it lost thousands of dollars while the work was being done.

Crews were able to complete the project in two days.

The store's branch manager, Justin Phillips, says he didn't receive a notice from the city about the street closure.

He wants Jackson to come up with a better plan to notify businesses before streets are closed and businesses are impacted.

"Well, they could give you some kind of notice. Some kind of supervisor or something could come by and say, "Hey we're gonna be doing this." Give us notice that, hey this is what is going to be going on. Didn't happen."

A Jackson spokesperson says it was an oversight on the city's part by not notifying the business.
