United Negro College Fund Campaign Kicks Off

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Their slogan has always been "A mind is a terrible thing to waste." Thursday night, a group gathered at Tougaloo College to launch the 2012 annual United Negro College Fund Campaign for Rust and Tougaloo colleges.

UNCF works with institutions across the country so that any student can afford college tuition, books, and room and board.

Presidents of both colleges were in attendance. Tougaloo President, Beverly Wade Hogan says they are excited to make the 2012 campaign the most successful ever to keep higher education affordable and attainable.
