Shooting victim air lifted to hospital

Attala County authorities are investigating a late night shooting that resulted in the victim being air lifted to a Jackson hospital.

Kosyonline.com reported that it happened in the McAdams community on Highway 12 sometime before 11:30 Friday night.

The unidentified victim was shot three times, once in the abdomen and twice in the upper back.

According to Kosyonline, that person was transported to Montfort Jones Hospital then air lifted to a hospital in Jackson.

Their condition is not known at this time.

One person was reportedly questioned in connection with the shooting.

We have no information about any arrests.

The Attala County Sheriff's Department has not returned our call requesting comment on the investigation.
