Low pressure will track over Mississippi tonight and Sunday. Periods of rain and a few storms will remain possible. I do not expect severe weather, but a few storms could be heavy and produce heavy downpours.
As the low pressure pulls away Sunday night, rain chances will briefly go down. By late Monday and Tuesday, rain chances will ramp up again as a weak frontal boundary stalls over the area.
Rainfall totals through Sunday night will be from a half-inch to 1" across central Mississippi. Amounts of 2-3" are possible across southeast Mississippi.
Temperatures will drop to the lower 70s for lows. Highs will mainly be in the lower to middle 80s on Sunday.
