JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Mississippi summer crops are at their best and Saturday the farmers market on the fairgrounds held its summer kickoff.
Along with fresh fruits and vegetables, visitors browsed through crafts including woodwork and jewelry. Live music played as Ro' Chez restaurant in Ridgeland gave cooking demonstrations. Guests also enjoyed live music, free ice cream, and activities.
The farmers market is open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
