Lack of sleep influences stroke risk

Sleep deprivation can do more than add pounds to your waistline. It may also increase your risk for stroke.

Researchers at the University of Alabama at Birmingham found middle-age adults who consistently got less than six hours of sleep were more likely to experience stroke symptoms.
