JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
The Jackson City Council addressed the issue of a re-vote for Ward 3 Tuesday.
A jury recently found evidence of problems in the initial election between Larita Cooper-Stokes and Joyce Jackson.
A new election has been ordered.
The law requires a 10-day waiting period after any civil decision.
The city of Jackson will wait that length of time before assigning a date for the new election.
The Secretary of State's office will send observers whenever that new election is held.
