
PEARL, MS (MISSISSIPPI BRAVES) —The Mississippi Braves claimed the series three-games-to-two with a 5-0 victory against the Jacksonville Suns in front of 3,013 fans on Father's Day.
The M-Braves conclude the first half of the season, having more than 100,000 fans come through the gates at Trustmark Park.
The Braves' next home game is Tuesday, June 26 at 7:00 PM.
The M-Braves (30-40) scored five runs on nine hits while the Suns (33-37) were shutout on just five hits.
Sean Gilmartin (5-6) limited the Suns to just three hits in six innings of work.
He walked two and struck out four to notch the win.
The M-Braves take three days off for the 2012 Southern League All-Star Break before starting a five-game series at Regions Park in Birmingham on Thursday, June 21.
