Madison County Board of Supervisors Chooses New Board Attorney

MADISON COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Madison County Board of Supervisors voted for a new board attorney Monday night.

Board members voted 3 to 2 to terminate their agreement with Eric Hamer after 5 years.

The new board attorney will be Mike Espy, who begins July 1st and will work with Hamer until August 1st.

Board President, John Bell Crosby said Hamer had done a great job but lacked some depth that the board was looking for.

Crosby and Karl Banks voted against the unexpected motion.
