This first day of summer is coming in right on schedule with higher temps and more heat and humidity along with it. Expect a high near 93 degrees and winds from the south east at 10-15 mph.
The UV index is also in the 'EXTREME' category, so take precautions to avoid the maximum exposure between 10am - 4pm today.
Tonight we'll have mainly clear skies, which should set up for a fast drop in temps during the overnight hours. Temps will fall into the mid 60s, and winds staying relatively light out of the south east.
Moisture will slowly begin to build up, but not looking for any fog to slow us down during the overnight period.
Tomorrow the winds shift out of the north, but that won't make a dent in the heat. Temps are still expected to climb into the low to mid 90s. And the heat index is likely to stay just under the 100 degree threshold.
We'll climb to the upper 90s this weekend, so more heat is on the way.
