Wine shipment saved from truck fire

RIDGELAND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

An 18-wheeler, carrying cases of wine, caught fire this morning near the Old Agency Road exit ramp from I-55. A fire that started in the brakes also caused two tires and the exterior of the trailer to catch fire.

Ridgeland firefighters were able to prevent what could have been an alcohol fire.

Drivers should use caution in that area while wreckers are removing the truck and trailer. Also remember that the speed limit in the area is 50-miles-per-hour due to construction.
