JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Shots rang out in a south Jackson neighborhood Sunday afternoon leaving one man injured.
Jackson Police responded to the scene sometime after three p.m. in the 2900 block of Greenwood Avenue, off McDowell Road.
A man, whose name has not been released, was found shot in the lower leg.
He told investigators he was standing in the back yard of the residence when he heard a shot then looked down and saw that he had been hit.
The shooting victim believes the gunfire may have come from a nearby street.
No arrests have been made.
