"Debby" not an immediate threat

The computer models are still in some disagreement on where Tropical Storm Debby will end up. Overall they have shifted more to the east towards Florida, which would mean no immediate direct impact from Debby on our weather.

There are still a handful of computer models that bring Debby west again later in the week. If this does happen, it would mean we may see impacts from the system in terms of rain or even severe weather sometime beyond Thursday.

I will be posting frequent updates on Debby on my Facebook page this week, so make sure to "like" my page by clicking here.

With Debby otherwise occupied in the northeast Gulf of Mexico for the next few days, our heat wave will continue.

For the next few nights, lows will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Our daytime highs will be in the upper 90s. Factor in our humid air mass and it will make it feel like the lower 100s to your body. This is serious heat, folks, so take care of yourselves and your pets!
