JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Monday we told you about Jason Mattiace, a northeast Jackson homeowner, who exchanged fire with several burglars outside his home around 5 a.m.

One of the victims told WLBT News suspects had been arrested and cars were recovered.

Mattice told police three cars were stolen. Police confirm investigators have recovered two of those stolen vehicles, a white Mercedes and a Nissan Altima.

Officers also recovered a third stolen vehicle, a Nissan Maxima. They believe the thieves used that car to drive to the home on Maurey Road. It was previously stolen from McWillie Drive.

Assistant Chief Lee Vance says investigators have not made any arrests.
