Lanes of I-220 closed for truss replacement

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Mississippi Department of Transportation will temporarily close all southbound lanes of I-220 in Jackson in intervals up to 30 minutes beginning Thursday night between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

MDOT crews will be working on installing new overhead sign trusses at exits 1A and 1B.

Then Friday night during the same hours, workers will replace old sign trusses on Highway 80 West at the I-220 northbound on-ramp and I-220 northbound near exit 1A.

Motorists are urged to take precautions when driving through these work zones.
