Miss. Supreme Court upholds conviction

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - The Mississippi Supreme Court has upheld the conviction of a man for his role in a burglary, rape, kidnapping and extortion of a Lake, Miss., woman.

Darrin Wilson of Lake was sentenced in 2011 to 105 years in prison for capital rape, kidnapping, breaking and entering, child endangerment and armed robbery.

Prosecutors say Wilson was 1 of 3 men who allegedly raped the woman and kidnapped her and infant child on the night of April 14, 2010. Prosecutors say the men asked for $2,000 for her release but only received $500.

The Supreme Court on Thursday denied all the issues raised by Wilson.
