Today will be another day full of sunshine and blazing temperatures. 100 is the expected high for today. A weak disturbance will move closer to us, giving us a slight chance for a few thunderstorms. Since it is so warm, anything that may pop-up could be on the strong side.
We will see high temperatures in the upper 90s for the first half of the work week. By Thursday, temperatures will start to back-off a few degrees. Mid 90s are expected for our Friday.
A heat advisory remains in effect for central and south Mississippi through Sunday evening. To beat the heat,remember to drink plenty of water and take breaks often. Wearing light colored clothing and hats will help keep you cool in these sweltering conditions.
