Boat parade on the Reservoir

RIDGELAND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Thousands lined the shores Saturday night for the first Independence Day Celebration at the Barnett Reservoir.

Boats were decorated for a parade on the water.

In a salute to our military, Wounded Warriors and Operation PROP were the grand marshals of the parade.

Old Trace and Lakeshore Parks had the most activity with kid zones, live music, food vendors, and other displays.

Fireworks capped off the night.

The Barnett Reservoir Foundation hosted the event.
