Fiery crash leaves one dead

ATTALA COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Mississippi Highway Patrol and Attala County authorities are investigating a fiery crash that left one person dead. It happened early Monday morning on Highway 12 East.

Witnesses say the pickup truck had a blowout and swerved off the highway. It hit a power line, split in two, and burst into flames.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, but authorities are not yet releasing any names.
