BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
A man
accused of stabbing his two dogs with a barbecue fork, killing one of them and
forcing authorities to put down the other, now faces animal cruelty charges.
The East
Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office arrested Donnie Davis, 23, on two counts of
aggravated animal cruelty.
Court records
show Davis admitted he stabbed the dogs because he said he could no longer take
care of them.
Davis told
deputies he called Animal Control to pick up the dogs, but Animal Control said
it received no such call.
Bond was
set at $20,000.
