The more children women have -- the bigger their waistline -- according to a new study. However, breastfeeding can have a long-term, positive impact on a woman's weight.

Researchers say the more children women had -- the greater their body mass index later in life.

However, women who breastfed for at least six months experienced a one percent drop in B-M-I over a lifetime.

Experts say more studies are needed -- but a one percent reduction in B-M-I could have a significant impact on obesity-related conditions.
