JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A 2-month-old infant and his mother have been reunited after her vehicle was carjacked. The mother left the baby alone in a blue Honda Pilot with the motor running shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday.

WLBT obtained surveillance from the Northside Drive gas station. When she went into the store, the carjacker jumped into the vehicle and left the scene.

Less than 30 minutes later, the car with the baby in it was discovered in the parking lot of the Advantages Apartments on nearby McWillie Drive, after a tip to police.

No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
