Scattered clouds are going to start off the day, with a slight chance of rain during the afternoon. Thus far, we're looking at a 30% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Additionally the heat index is expected to reach between 100-103; winds will be west at 5-10 mph.
Tonight we still maintain a slight chance of isolated shower and thunderstorms in the evening hours. Partly cloudy skies is expected for the majority of the counties in our area. And the winds will turn from the south a 5-10mph.
Tomorrow our chances of showers will finally lean more 'towards' rain for most areas instead of 'away.' Our chances of rain will go up to 50% with the heat still the main feature to start off the day.
Where the rain hits there will be some relief from the heat; and where the storms form we'll watch out for them turning severe rather quickly. Winds from the west at 10-15 mph.
