A Vicksburg man is charged with simple assault for slapping a 6 year old in an attack at a daycare. The charge is a misdemeanor, which mean he will not appear in court until the end of the month.
Police say 29-year-old Jamie Williams hit a kindergartner across the face, over a supposed altercation between the boy and Williams' daughter.
The assault was captured on daycare surveillance video. Officers found Williams cowering in a bedroom closet when he was taken into custody.
