Worker found dead by homeowner in south Jackson

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson police are investigating the shooting death of a man in south Jackson.

Police say a man, who was doing work at a house at 2136 Thousands Oaks Drive, was found dead at the residence, which is off Highway 18.

We're told the owner of the house left for lunch and returned around 3:30 p.m. to find the body and a gun. Police say the case is being investigated as a homicide.

Police have not released the victim's name but say he is 52-year-old black man.
