Thursday afternoon showers created quite a headache for residents in one North Jackson neighborhood.
Heavy rains caused a creek on Wayneland Drive near Jamaica Drive to flood its banks.
The water went into several yards and close to a few homes.
Residents say the creek is filled with overgrowth and that allows even the smallest rain amounts to cause problems.
"It started flooding. This ditch filled up with all kinds of water. It completely saturated this yard, that yard, that backyard, most of my front yard. Then, it started coming into my house," said Marica Jones.
Jones says she's called the city several times to get the creek cleaned out, but has had no luck.
