JFD completes investigation into rap video incident

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Jackson Fire Department is taking severe disciplinary action against the people responsible for letting a rapper use a JFD fire truck and gear in the video "A Pole in My Pants."

The video was shot earlier this month at Freelon's Restaurant.

In a statement, the department confirms that ladder truck number 5 was used in the risque video. They also say fire department personnel and equipment were improperly used during the filming.

Officials say they took severe disciplinary action against those involved, but refused to reveal names or what action was taken.

Since the personnel involved have civil service status, they can appeal their punishment.

Also, at this stage, the fire department says personnel matters are confidential due to legal requirements.
