JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
WLBT has confirmed that a veteran Jackson firefighter has been arrested and remains behind bars at the Raymond Detention Center.
Mike Graziosi, 50, was arrested Thursday by Hinds County Deputies and charged with one count of false pretense.
Sources tell us the fire department captain allegedly went into a local truck spot, illegally assumed the identify of a truck driver. He received a company check for $575.00 dollars, cashed it and left.
Our research indicates Graziosi has been in trouble with the law before.
The firefighter was arrested on the very same charge in 2002. He sued and was reinstated to his rank of Captain with benefits.
Late Friday, JFD's Assistant Fire Chief told me he had no knowledge of the arrest and would look into it.
