Police make arrest in weekend shooting death

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Jackson man has been arrested and charged with murder in the shooting death of 31-year-old Leonard Stone.

Police spokeswoman Colendula Green says Stone was shot in the torso after an argument with Patrick Jones, 36, Sunday night.

The shooting happened on Scanlon Drive near Raymond Road.

Jones is currently being held at the Hinds County Detention Center in Raymond.
