More sunshine for this morning is already setting us up for a seriously muggy afternoon, newly issued Heat Advisories in north Mississippi. Expect a high of 96 degrees for today with the heat index expected to reach beyond 103 degrees. Winds are expected out of the SW 5-10 mph.
Tonight the skies are expected to stay mainly clear as we drop by nearly 25 degrees during the overnight period. Temps will drop to the mid 70s. And the winds will be from the south at 5-10 mph.
Thursday will finally bring a decent chance of a spot shower during the afternoon hours. There's a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Mostly Sunny for the majority of the day and high in the mid 90s. Winds will be southwest at 5-10mph.
