Three years ago, I told you about the Smith Park fountain across from the Governor's Mansion in downtown Jackson.
In April of 09, I showed you the pathetic state of the once aesthetic fountain and the fact that the pump did not work.
In august of that year, I showed you that it had been fixed and was flowing again.
Three years later, we are approaching August and guess what?
City fathers have apparently abandoned the fountain once again.
In fact, I don't believe it has worked even once this year.
Smith Park used to be a great place to relax and absorb many of the nice sites of downtown Jackson.
It would be wonderful if the city could make this once nice attraction something to be proud of, rather than a terrible eyesore.
That's my Point of View.
